Production of the Proceedings of the 16th North American Crane Workshop, held in Baraboo, Wisconsin, in October 2023, is underway. The published Proceedings will include full papers as well as brief (2-5 page) communications. In addition to papers presented at the Workshop, other original research papers on cranes, especially North American species, may also be included.

Authors are requested to submit preliminary information about title, authors, and manuscript type to Megan Brown (brownme1986@gmail.com) as soon as possible. The deadline for submission of final manuscripts (also to Dr. Brown) is 1 May 2024, but earlier submissions are encouraged. Following peer review, manuscripts will be returned to authors for revision within 3 months of receipt of the draft. The revised manuscripts are due within 3 months after reviewed manuscripts are received by authors. NACWG greatly appreciates authors who make their contributions on or before the deadline. Those efforts will greatly increase timely publication. Our goal is to have these Proceedings published by no later than June 2025. We look forward to hearing from you.
